Yes, our wireless units are designed to meet strict NC state and local fire and life-safety compliance standards for commercial and community pools. For your specific location, consult the local health department, building department, or an ADA expert, as AHJ enforcement can vary. Resources like the ADA.gov site or state pool regulations provide further guidance.
No. Our wireless cellular technology completely eliminates the need for expensive and destructive trenching to run copper landlines.
Unlike other competitors, there is no added monitoring required with our service.
To install your unit, attach each standoff to the corners behind the NEMA rated, weatherproof enclosure. After confirming the required height restrictions (consult the local health department, building department, or an ADA expert), hang your emergency unit so the middle of the unit is approximately 4 ft off the ground — use a level for a straight install. The power cord can be secured as shown, put through a wall, or covered with wire conduit available at your local hardware store. Then contact SoutheastTelephone.net to confirm service activation. Once confirmed, plug in your device and turn it on using the power switch inside the unit. Wait five full minutes, then test outgoing and incoming calls. Finally, make a test call to 911 — explain it is a test, and the 911 dispatch will confirm your location name, service address, and phone number.
Your service rate will simply adjust to our standard, competitive rate of $39.99 per month for the remainder of your 36-month agreement.
This promotional rate is available for a limited time and is exclusively for new SoutheastTelephone customers.
